Located in the Baw Baw National Park, and part of the initial section of the Australian Alpine Walking Track, the Mushroom Rocks Meander is a weekend adventure complete with relaxing walks, exploring and nature immersion.
Beginning from the Mount Erica car park, we will make our way up to Mushroom Rocks, set up our tents for the day and explore the area.
Day 2 will feature a side trip consisting of a walk up a gentle incline to the Talbot Peak ruins where we will have some lunch and explore that section of the park.
And in between all of that, we will be staying under and around two giant boulders that form a make-shift cave where will have something hot to eat around a campfire whilst taking in all that nature has to offer.
***An overnight backpack is required for this adventure. Please let us know if you require one as we’d be only too happy source one for you***
We deem this hike to be a Grade Three hike in accordance with the Australian Walking Track Grading System which refers to a track that “is recommended for people with some bushwalking experience”
