An adventure location very much on the rise here in Victoria, the Warburton Day Adventure is a combination of adventure and sightseeing.
Reid’s Tramline – 6kms
We begin our adventure at the incredibly underrated Reid’s Tramline, Powelltown. Immersed in history, this 6km walk winds its way through dense forest and forms the final section of the Walk Into History.
Once we’ve had our initial taste of adventure, we’ll venture into Warburton and grab a coffee and something to eat at the Three Sugars Cafe; definitely the most popular cafe in town.
La La Falls Return – 3kms
From here, we’ll make our way to La La Falls to complete a 3km return walk with the beautiful small waterfall located at the halfway mark. The viewing platform is the perfect spot to sit down and relax.
Rainforest Gallery – 350m long elevated walkway amongst the rainforest
After we’re done relaxing at La La Falls, we’ll visit the Rainforest Gallery which is without a doubt one of the greenest sections of the Yarra Ranges National Park you’ll ever come across.
You’ll find yourself gazing in wonder at the 65 metre tall giant Mountain Ash tree, the ancient Myrtle Beech trees (with some said to be 300-400 years old), as wells as ferns, mosses and other plants that live in this diverse rainforest environment.
You’ll also have the chance to listen to the sound of rushing water as the sounds of Cement Creek flowing underneath the boardwalk and onto the Yarra River further downstream.
In partnership with Suburban Wholefoods, adventurers will also have the choice of 1x wrap & 2x protein balls for their lunch for the day. Options include:
Chicken & cheese
Egg, bacon & cheese
Peanut Butter & Chocolate
Please Note: You will be required to drive to each location featured in the itinerary
We deem these hikes to be Grade Three hikes in accordance with the Australian Walking Track Grading System which refers to a track that “is recommended for people with some bushwalking experience”
